We have traveled in a variety of vehicles over the years and wanted a place to keep them organized and documented for us and for others to learn from our mistakes and experiences. Each build highlights major components and trips taken in each vehicle.

2013 Ford E-250 Van Build
Our current primary adventure vehicle is our budget overland van. This van is built for long days on the road, ultimate comfort in remote camps, and reducing our impact on the environment. This build includes a HUGE lithium battery bank, solar power, a full-sized bed, and tons of storage for any kind of adventure.

The Lexus is our baby, and it has the scars to show the many adventures that it has been on. Belatrix, or “B” for short,t is equipped for serious overland travel with a lithium-ion battery, gullwing windows, a 12V fridge, and more. There is a chance that B will be in our family for as many decades as we can manage.
2000 Chevy Bluebird Skoolie
It all started with the first skoolie build that took us around the US with over 27,000 miles of full-time travel over four years! The bus was equipped with a solar-powered battery system, a lift-kit, a full water system, and a queen-sized bed!
1986 Toyota 4Runner
We used and abused our 1st gen 4Runner on trips across the country and 6 months in Baja, Mexico. The 4Runner had a custom drawer system, a roof top tent on a custom roof rack, and plenty of storage for two people on a Baja adventure.
1990 Bluebird Skoolie
The big bus is the project that never got off the ground. We raised the roof and ran out of steam. It was a blast to work on and dream about, but it wasn’t the right vehicle for us.
2000 Casita 16' Travel Trailer
The Casita has been a perfect placeholder vehicle for a quick trip down to Baja and a temporary place to live while we visit our land or want to go ski in the dead of winter. The Casita has lithium batteries, a shower and toilet, and upgraded wheels and tires.
